What it actually sells
StoryChief sells a content marketing platform for planning, creating, reviewing, publishing, and measuring content campaigns. Its site says, “Run your entire content marketing workflow in one place.” It connects strategy, briefs, drafts, reviews, publishing, and performance in one workflow.
The platform uses live data from websites, CRMs, SEO tools, and Slack to identify content opportunities. It provides AI-created drafts, content ideation, writing assistance, audits, and optimization, plus SEO and GEO publishing, content calendars, approvals, collaboration, and project management.
How it charges
StoryChief has a free plan and paid social and editorial plans billed monthly or yearly. The site lists team, agency, enterprise, and AI add-on options, with plan comparisons for individual marketers, teams, and agencies. Every paid plan starts with a free trial with no credit card required.
Where customers come from
The site offers free trials, a free plan, and demo booking calls. It also publishes customer stories and platform information. Its visible support surface includes a help center, video academy, chat support, and an onboarding program.
What stands out

Where it sits in the data
StoryChief's $150K a month is higher than 90% of the 6,604 projects with founder-reported monthly revenue in our dataset; the median across them is $2K. Snapshot: 2026-09-30. The dataset only covers founders who chose to publish their numbers, so it leans toward businesses that work; use it for scale, not as an average.
Currency
All figures are in US dollars as published. A rough yuan or euro conversion is not applied here because prices, taxes and acquisition costs differ by country.
Could you build something like this?
My view is that this needs real work. The buyer would be a marketing team, agency, or individual marketer managing content operations or client campaigns. Distribution would have to come through search, content marketing, integrations, trials, demos, and customer stories. The hard parts are connecting many workflow steps, maintaining integrations, handling AI features, and supporting users with different publishing and approval needs.
My view is that the product shape creates substantial operational and support demands. A smaller version could focus on one audience and a narrower workflow, but the pages show a broad platform with teams, agencies, enterprise options, integrations, onboarding, and support.
Verdict: Needs real work.
One thing to take from it
The clearest lesson is to define the product around a connected workflow: plan, brief, draft, review, publish, and measure. The pages show this structure directly, with the campaign’s plan, brief, draft, review, publishing, and results attached to the same campaign.
