Shop Pirate deals, $100K a month, self-reported: 1,600 stores
Shop Pirate sells coupons, promo codes, discounts and deals from multiple online stores for shoppers looking to save during checkout. Its $100K a month was founder-reported on the Indie Hackers product page (not independently verified), as of September 30, 2026.
What it actually sells
Shop Pirate sells online coupons, promo codes, discounts and deals from multiple stores. Its site says: “Save money and time by getting discounts using coupons, coupon codes and promo codes from several online stores in USA.”
Users can search for favorite stores, find offers and apply offers during store checkout. Registered shoppers receive deal alerts for their favorite stores, while coupon notifications are delivered to email addresses and mobile phones.
How it charges
The product's price could not be identified on the pages we read. Currency amounts appear on the pages, but none could be tied to Shop Pirate's own pricing. The site also tells merchants: “Submit your offers / Reach our visitors / Increase your sales.”
Where customers come from
Shop Pirate's site displays “10 Million Page Views” and organizes offers under categories including Clothing, Education, Electronics, Food, Health, Home and Garden, Sports and Fitness, Toys, Services, CBD, Proxies and Face Masks.
The visible channels include email, mobile notifications, login and registration, and a dedicated merchant signup page. The site says, “Get coupon notifications delivered to your emails and mobiles,” and provides “Login / Register” and “Signup with Shop Pirate” for merchants.
What stands out
The site says: “At Shop Pirate we help shoppers looking for a quick and easy path to online coupons and deals.” It also says offers include coupon codes, promo codes, offers and cashbacks from more than 1,600 online stores.
The same site presents merchant offer submission and a path to reach website visitors. Its merchant call to action reads: “Submit your offers / Reach our visitors / Increase your sales.”

Where it sits in the data
Shop Pirate's $100K a month is higher than 87% of the 6,604 projects with founder-reported monthly revenue in our dataset; the median across them is $2K. Snapshot: 2026-09-30. The dataset only covers founders who chose to publish their numbers, so it leans toward businesses that work; use it for scale, not as an average.
Currency
All figures are in US dollars as published. A rough yuan or euro conversion is not applied here because prices, taxes and acquisition costs differ by country.
Could you build something like this?
In my view, demand would come from online shoppers seeking coupons, deals, promotions and cashbacks. The buyer for a merchant service would be an online store that wants to submit offers and reach website visitors. Distribution would depend on store search, email notifications, mobile notifications, registration and merchant submissions.
In my view, the hard part is maintaining a broad offer base while keeping store and offer information usable. Merchant submissions create support and moderation work. Shoppers also face competition from other coupon and deal sites. Each merchant relationship can add review, support and compliance work.
Verdict: Needs real work.
One thing to take from it
My view is that the clearest lesson is the distribution surface: store search, checkout offers, favorite-store alerts and email or mobile notifications form the visible product experience. The merchant submission page adds a second visible route into the site.
