ResuMax: AI career tools for tech job seekers, $1.9K MRR: one career agent

ResuMax packages job search, resume tailoring, interview preparation, and application tracking in one AI career platform. Its $1.9K MRR is verified through the payment provider's API by TrustMRR (Stripe), as of September 30, 2026.

What it actually sells

ResuMax sells AI career tools for job searching, resume tailoring, interview preparation, and application tracking. Its audience includes software engineers, ML engineers, product managers, designers, and other tech job seekers.

Atlas searches current technical roles, explains fit through evidence and meaningful gaps, creates reviewable resume changes without inventing experience, and supports role-grounded interview practice. It also tracks each application’s stage, next action, and follow-up.

How it charges

The site presents Free, Pro, and Premium as paths for users to compare. The product’s price could not be identified on the pages we read.

Where customers come from

ResuMax connects its persistent career record to ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, and other MCP clients. The site says users can access ResuMax from ChatGPT, Claude, and other MCP clients.

Founder Erik Cupsa publishes software engineering and interview-preparation content on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok under the handle swerikcodes. His material covers big-tech interview preparation, internship life, and salary transparency for new-grad and student engineers.

What stands out

Every resume runs through a structured recruiter-style review. Atlas scores the document, flags bullets to revisit, and proposes clearer, evidence-backed rewrites for the user’s approval.

More than 16,000 engineers have created accounts, built 29,000 resumes, and run 14,000 recruiter-grade reviews in ResuMax. More than 15,000 job seekers have been helped since October 2025.

Where it sits in the data

ResuMax's $1.9K MRR is higher than 82% of the 5,602 projects with payment-verified revenue in our dataset; the median across them is $150. Within the “Recruiting & HR” category (116 projects) it is higher than 85% (category median $98). Snapshot: 2026-09-02 to 2026-09-30. The dataset only covers founders who chose to publish their numbers, so it leans toward businesses that work; use it for scale, not as an average.

Currency

All figures are in US dollars as published. A rough yuan or euro conversion is not applied here because prices, taxes and acquisition costs differ by country.

Could you build something like this?

My view is that the buyer is a tech professional managing job search across discovery, resume work, interview preparation, and follow-up. Distribution would need to come from educational content, connected assistants, onboarding, and direct outreach to the same audience.

My view is that the hard parts are maintaining current role data, producing resume suggestions without invented experience, supporting several assistants, and handling questions from job seekers. Established career platforms and general AI assistants would add competitive pressure.

Verdict: Needs real work.

One thing to take from it

My view is that a focused career product can combine several job-search tasks around one persistent record, then give users reviewable changes and role-grounded practice. The clearest lesson is to keep each output tied to evidence and user approval.
