AI CRM for life insurance agents, $34K MRR: voice and back office

Orion automates sales outreach and back-office tracking for life insurance agents and agencies. Its $34K MRR is verified through the payment provider's API by TrustMRR (Stripe), as of September 30, 2026.

What it actually sells

Orion sells an AI CRM and sales-automation system for life insurance agents and agencies. It runs AI voice, SMS, and email campaigns, calls and texts leads, books them, and reconciles the book of business behind those activities.

Its back-office tools track hierarchy production, persistency, rollup debt, and policies to the carrier statement. MLPD runs three lines at once, filters voicemails and dead numbers, and routes agents into live conversations.

How it charges

Agents subscribe at $149/mo with a 14-day free trial. Agencies launch white-label with a $499 one-time setup, while larger agencies can pursue a sales-assisted Enterprise option.

Where customers come from

The visible acquisition signals are a 14-day free trial, an available product demo, and a sales-assisted Enterprise option. The founder also listed Instagram as a growth channel.

What stands out

Its compliance features cover TCPA, TCR, and FTC requirements across all 50 states, with automatic opt-outs and DNC handling.

The website reports several usage measures: 2,500 AI calls per day, per agent; 28s average speed to lead; and $2.9M+ in sales generated through Orion. It also states, “Today 500+ agents run their floors on Orion, from solo producers to enterprise agencies.”

Where it sits in the data

Orion AI's $34K MRR is higher than 98% of the 5,602 projects with payment-verified revenue in our dataset; the median across them is $150. Within the “Sales” category (202 projects) it is higher than 97% (category median $441). Snapshot: 2026-09-02 to 2026-09-30. The dataset only covers founders who chose to publish their numbers, so it leans toward businesses that work; use it for scale, not as an average.

Currency

All figures are in US dollars as published. A rough yuan or euro conversion is not applied here because prices, taxes and acquisition costs differ by country.

Could you build something like this?

My view is that demand would come from life insurance agents and agencies that want to reduce manual outreach while keeping sales and policy records in one system. The buyer is an agent or agency choosing software for its sales operation, with larger organizations requiring broader deployment and administration.

Distribution would need an audience already concentrated around life insurance sales. Building it would require real work around communications compliance, reliable calling and messaging, carrier-statement reconciliation, customer support, and competition from established CRM and automation products.

Verdict: Needs real work.

One thing to take from it

The useful lesson is to package a narrow industry workflow across both sides of the business. Orion joins lead calling, texting, booking, and policy-related back-office tracking instead of presenting AI communication as a standalone product.
