Mango Mail: business email hosting — $4K a month, self-reported in 2023
Mango Mail sells business email hosting for employees and businesses in one account. Its $4K a month was founder-reported on the Indie Hackers product page (not independently verified), as of December 2023.
What it actually sells
Mango Mail sells business email hosting with unlimited domains and users. Its site says, “Get your business email at a fraction of the cost. Unlimited domains and addresses all at $1.50/mo.” It serves small and large businesses: “Made For Businesses Small And Large.”
The service puts employees and businesses into one account. Teams can be set up in a few clicks through the dashboard, and existing mailboxes can be transferred with attachments, folders, and custom tags preserved.
How it charges
The site advertises unlimited domains and addresses at $1.50/mo. Currency amounts appear on the pages, but none could be tied to the product’s own pricing, so the product’s price could not be identified on the pages we read.
Where customers come from
Mango Mail offers a free trial, provides setup documentation and tutorials, and publishes customer reviews. The site includes “Try for free,” “See all reviews,” and “See what customers have to say.”
What stands out
The service supports multiple businesses and employees through one account. Its servers filter out and protect users from unwanted or malicious content, and accounts can be secured with two-factor authentication. The mailbox-transfer feature includes “Move all your message attachments” and “Preserve all of your custom tags and folders.”

Where it sits in the data
Mango Mail's $4K a month is higher than 56% of the 6,604 projects with founder-reported monthly revenue in our dataset; the median across them is $2K. Snapshot: 2026-09-30. The dataset only covers founders who chose to publish their numbers, so it leans toward businesses that work; use it for scale, not as an average.
Currency
All figures are in US dollars as published. A rough yuan or euro conversion is not applied here because prices, taxes and acquisition costs differ by country.
Could you build something like this?
In my view, demand would come from businesses that need business email, centralized administration, team accounts, content filtering, and two-factor authentication. The buyer is the business or the person responsible for its email setup. Distribution would need to reach that buyer through search, software directories, business communities, or direct outreach.
In my view, the hard part is operating dependable email infrastructure. Deliverability, account security, mailbox migration, data handling, backups, abuse prevention, and customer support require sustained work. Competition would include established email hosts and broader business software suites. A free trial, documentation, tutorials, and customer reviews would form part of the buying experience.
Verdict: Needs real work.
One thing to take from it
The product combines business email, multiple domains and users, centralized account management, mailbox migration, content filtering, and two-factor authentication. The operating challenge is delivering dependable email hosting and support around those features.
