Where it sits in the data
Hostman's $100K a month is higher than 87% of the 6,604 projects with founder-reported monthly revenue in our dataset; the median across them is $2K. Snapshot: 2026-09-30. The dataset only covers founders who chose to publish their numbers, so it leans toward businesses that work; use it for scale, not as an average.
Currency
All figures are in US dollars as published. A rough yuan or euro conversion is not applied here because prices, taxes and acquisition costs differ by country.
Could you build something like this?
My view is that this needs real work. The buyer is a team building, deploying, and scaling applications and cloud workloads, while demand spans several infrastructure products. Distribution would have to come through developer documentation, repository integrations, Marketplace applications, and an AI-agent documentation index.
My view is that infrastructure reliability, security, and support make the build demanding. Managed Kubernetes, databases, AI agents, and server operations introduce substantial technical, regulatory, and support responsibilities. Competition would come from established cloud infrastructure and hosting providers.
Verdict: Hard to replicate.
One thing to take from it
Hostman combines infrastructure products with developer-facing distribution signals: repository integrations, deployment options, infrastructure documentation, and a documentation index for AI agents.
