Where it sits in the data
FinWise's $4.7K a month is higher than 58% of the 6,604 projects with founder-reported monthly revenue in our dataset; the median across them is $2K. Snapshot: 2026-09-30. The dataset only covers founders who chose to publish their numbers, so it leans toward businesses that work; use it for scale, not as an average.
Currency
All figures are in US dollars as published. A rough yuan or euro conversion is not applied here because prices, taxes and acquisition costs differ by country.
Could you build something like this?
In my view, this needs real work. Demand is visible in the product’s budgeting, net-worth tracking, forecasting and account-aggregation features, but a buyer would need confidence that financial data is handled well and that connected accounts keep working.
Distribution could come from app stores, financial calculators, a developer API, affiliates and a Discord community, all signals visible on the site. Building the product would require difficult bank integrations, financial calculations, security work, regulatory judgment and a substantial support load, alongside competition in personal-finance software.
Verdict: Needs real work.
One thing to take from it
The clearest lesson is to look at the product’s breadth: budgeting, account connections, net-worth tracking, analysis, forecasting, exports, calculators, API access, affiliates and community are all visible parts of the offer.
