LearnOps platform: $500K a month, self-reported in 2023 for talent teams
Cognota sells workflow, governance, expert access, integrations, and AI support for learning operations teams. Its $500K a month was reported by the founder in an interview (not independently verified), as of September 26th, 2023.
What it actually sells
Cognota brings workflow, governance, people, and AI together in one connected platform—providing your team with the visibility, capacity, and intelligence to execute more efficiently and effectively. Its stated customers are talent and L&D leaders and teams operating learning operations across organizations.
AI agents triage requests, score priorities, and keep operations moving. The Cognota Assist™ Marketplace provides on-demand access to vetted L&D experts through governed requests, while the platform supports integrations, benchmarks, platform access, and dedicated support.
How it charges
Pricing starts at $25,000 per year and includes platform access and dedicated support. The site lists Team, Enterprise, and Transform plans, with each plan including platform access and dedicated support.
Where customers come from
The site offers a free maturity assessment, a peer community for leaders, and free micro-certifications through LearnOps Academy. It also supports connections to an HRIS, LMS, customer-controlled AI systems, and other tools through MCPs, connectors, APIs, and apps.
What stands out
The product combines operational workflow, governance, people, AI agents, expert marketplace access, benchmarks, and integrations. It says teams can replace three to eight disconnected tools and shows claims of more than 200% return on investment, a four-month payback period, and five-times cost savings.
The marketplace provides access to vetted L&D experts with governed requests and stated execution in 72 hours. The platform also compares a function’s maturity with peers and identifies where gaps are costing the most.

Where it sits in the data
Cognota's $500K a month is higher than 96% of the 6,604 projects with founder-reported monthly revenue in our dataset; the median across them is $2K. Snapshot: 2026-09-30. The dataset only covers founders who chose to publish their numbers, so it leans toward businesses that work; use it for scale, not as an average.
Currency
All figures are in US dollars as published. A rough yuan or euro conversion is not applied here because prices, taxes and acquisition costs differ by country.
Could you build something like this?
My view is that the buyer would be a talent or L&D leader responsible for learning operations. Demand would depend on organizations needing connected workflows, governance, operational support, expert access, and reporting. Distribution would need a direct sales motion supported by assessments, educational content, communities, and integrations with systems buyers already use.
Building it would require real work across product engineering, integrations, customer support, governance, and expert coordination. Regulation, sensitive organizational data, service reliability, and competition would add difficulty. Supporting multiple customer systems while maintaining dependable workflows and governed expert access would also take sustained effort.
Verdict: Hard to replicate.
One thing to take from it
My view is that the useful lesson is to package connected operational jobs around a defined buyer. Cognota combines workflow, governance, people, AI agents, expert access, benchmarks, integrations, assessments, community, and education for talent and L&D teams.
