Privacy-first AI surveys, $15K a month, self-reported in 2024: yearly billing
BlockSurvey helps people create AI-assisted surveys and conversational interviews with encrypted responses. Its $15K a month was founder-reported on the Indie Hackers product page (not independently verified), as of May 2024.
What it actually sells
BlockSurvey sells privacy-first AI surveys and conversational interviews with encrypted responses. Its site says users can design surveys, run conversational interviews, and get clear insights.
The product creates and refines survey questions from prompts, then provides thematic, sentiment, and summary analysis. It supports email, SMS, links, QR codes, and embeds.
How it charges
The site shows yearly billing with 2 months free and a Standard plan for individuals. It also displays a Book a Demo call to action and invites users to get the right plan for them.
Where customers come from
BlockSurvey offers guides, templates, and playbooks for research. It also offers AI guides covering machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, plus survey guides.
The site lists webinars, a podcast, and a whitepaper as resources. It provides Survey MCP integrations with Claude, Claude Code, and ChatGPT for creating, editing, and publishing surveys.
What stands out
BlockSurvey uses end-to-end encryption and device-side answer protection. Its site says answers are encrypted on the device before reaching BlockSurvey and that the user holds the key.
The product integrates with Microsoft Excel, Airtable, HubSpot, and Power BI. It is rated 4.8 on G2 Crowd and 4.9 on Capterra.

Where it sits in the data
BlockSurvey's $15K a month is higher than 71% of the 6,604 projects with founder-reported monthly revenue in our dataset; the median across them is $2K. Snapshot: 2026-09-30. The dataset only covers founders who chose to publish their numbers, so it leans toward businesses that work; use it for scale, not as an average.
Currency
All figures are in US dollars as published. A rough yuan or euro conversion is not applied here because prices, taxes and acquisition costs differ by country.
Could you build something like this?
In my view, this needs real work because the buyer has to trust the product with survey responses and sensitive research data. The buyer may be an individual, a research team, or an organization, so the product must make privacy and answer protection central to the experience.
Distribution would need to come from useful research resources, product integrations, and direct demonstrations. Building the survey editor, conversational interviews, analysis, encryption, integrations, and support would create substantial product and operational work.
Verdict: Needs real work.
One thing to take from it
BlockSurvey combines AI-assisted survey creation and analysis with encrypted responses, multiple distribution formats, and integrations with tools including Excel, Airtable, HubSpot, and Power BI.
