Where it sits in the data
Awaken Crypto Tax Software's $5K a month is higher than 58% of the 6,604 projects with founder-reported monthly revenue in our dataset; the median across them is $2K. Snapshot: 2026-09-30. The dataset only covers founders who chose to publish their numbers, so it leans toward businesses that work; use it for scale, not as an average.
Currency
All figures are in US dollars as published. A rough yuan or euro conversion is not applied here because prices, taxes and acquisition costs differ by country.
Could you build something like this?
My view is that demand comes from crypto users who need transaction organization, cost-basis work, tax reports, and reporting embedded in other products. The listed buyers include individual traders, DeFi users, crypto startups, and crypto funds, with API access serving product businesses that need reports inside their own services.
My view is that distribution would have to come from free tax guides, a calculator, setup documentation, and direct wallet, exchange, blockchain, and platform integrations. The hard parts are tax and regulatory compliance, maintaining transaction support across many integrations, handling customer questions, and competing with established products.
Verdict: Hard to replicate.
One thing to take from it
My view is that the useful lesson is to package a specialized technical service as a product with multiple paths: direct reports, API access, integrations, calculators, and documentation. The product also connects with agents and the platforms where users manage crypto activity.
